 Organization and identification of extracurricular and volunteer opportunities has become increasingly more important in the college evaluation process.  Engaging with meaningful activities early on and maintaining that involvement throughout high school can prove to be a significant contributing factor between a positive and negative admission decision, all things being equal. Starting in 7th and 8th grade can truly help a student focus their energy into something that offers great impact to the community as well as their personal growth and development.  Working with a consultant to plan and identify areas of potential interest and then develop of plan of action will augment academic performance as well as time management.
